The wind blew autumn leaves along the sunny paths in the forest.

“Lets go for a walk,” said Mattie.

“We could have a treasure hunt,” said Henry

“Lots of interesting things to find in the forest.”

Henry and Mattie set off with their baskets. It was great fun hunting through the trees and spotting things on their list.

At last it was time to go home and look at what they had collected.

Henry’s special find was a blue feather from a Mandarin duck on the lake.

Mattie’s special find was a striped feather from a golden-brown pheasant.

“Let’s show Granny Mouse when she comes for tea.” said Henry.
